Today I had a chat with someone who was super smart. He’s done some things that I can learn from, and he’d like to learn from me, too.
The timing was good for us to talk.
One thing that came out of the call was an exchange.
It reminded me of something so obvious that I almost didn’t take the time to write it, but it’s worth saying:
The more we have to offer, the more we get.
I was listening to a podcast today and heard a guest quote scripture from Matthew [25:29]:
For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.
It sounds brutal, but there’s something very practical about it. Let’s say you’re an in-demand consultant with top-level expertise in whatever it is that you do. It’s probably true, and probably not a stretch.
The better you are, the more opportunity you get. Challenging yourself to take on more opportunity will almost certainly help you to become even better…which will invite more opportunity, and…
You get it.
Be undeniable and the opportunities in front of you will become endless.
